Project REACH - South Sahara is non profit 501 (3)c charitable organization with expert volunteer heart surgeons and other medical providers responsible for providing a wide range of health services to the South Saharan community. REACH services ranges from surgical and medical treatment of cardiovascular and chest related diseases to preventive and reducing communicable diseases. REACH is very active in building and maintaining the highest quality of health standard in the South Sahara. The Team members and volunteers at REACH remains focused on the Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Goals of the Organization.
This project will raise awareness through public and professional, education, established surveillance systems, advocate improving health services, promote effective prevention measures and create a sustainable infrastructure that will provide heart surgery to the children and young adult suffering from Congenital, Rheumatic and other heart related disease south of the Sahara.
REACH founders are brothers. They were born in Ghana West Africa and immigrated to Houston, TX. They came to realize the need in the South Sahara for international collaboration among specialists to advance the diagnosis, treatment and control of heart and chest related diseases. Their commitment to sharing their knowledge and training to help the less fortunate led them to establish project REACH. The brothers have many years of surgical training and are dedicated to bringing their experience to the international community with the help of other surgeons, specialists and volunteers. Their professional reputation has contributed significantly to REACH's credibility and it's ability to attract patients, volunteer medical providers and funding.
