Rheumatic Fever / Heart Disease
The clinic provides practical recommendations for prevention and management of rheumatic fever / heart disease. It also provides practical guidance for implementing cost-effective measures for controlling these diseases.

Congenital Heart Disease
The clinic provides evaluation and treatment of young adult and children with congenital heart disease. The clinic addresses the special requirements of patients with congenital heart disease as they grow into and through adulthood. We use a unique fund of knowledge and experience drawn from collaboration between pediatric and adult cardiology disciplines to care appropriately for the patients.
Cardiomyopathy
The clinic provides advanced diagnostic and therapeutic options for infants, children and adolescents diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. Treatment care, information and resources are available for both acute and long-term settings.
Hypertension
The focus of the Hypertension clinic is to monitor and educate patients on self-management behaviors. It includes medication reminders, side effects, and compliance. It instructs on behavior modification and lifestyle adjustments. The program also includes instruction on dietary guidelines, hypertension and alcohol, and weight management. Patients are also taught the importance of activities and given tips for blood pressure and weight measurement.
Chest Related Disease
The clinic's goal is to reduce the time between the discovery of possible cancer in the chest and completion of the patient's medical evaluations. The idea is to begin treatment earlier. It is a comprehensive approach that involves doctors, such as pulmonologists, chest surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, pathologists, and radiologists, who specialize in treating chest diseases and cancer.
Method of Evaluation
Our partners in each of the various South Saharan Community working with Project REACH are always a reliable medical organization. Initially, the partners prepare a pool of potential patients and forwards a full medical history of each patient to our office. After examining the material, REACH medical team then travels to the country to examine each child personally for the final evaluation. During the two weeks duration of the trip, the team performs operations and cath lab procedures daily until the trip is concluded.
